put report totals in front of matrix - how to?

Is it possible to put the report totals at the front of the matrix
instead of the back?
I'm using SSRS native functionality to calculate the totals and
wondered how to get them displayed in front of my matrix.

If you are referring to the column orientation of the totals, you can
control the order by using something like a space in front of the
actual column name to control the left-to-right order. So, columns
named like this:
Col1 Col2 Col3 Totals
-- -- -- --
Can be rearranged like this considering adding spacing in front of the
actual column name.
" "+ Totals Col1 Col2 Col3
-- -- -- --
Hope this helps.

Pushing Recordset into MSRS

Hi experts,
Can we push an ADO recordset into MSRS (instead of MSRS pulling the data) to
create a separation between the report and the underlying data source? This
would help us to swap the data source without changing the reports.
Thanks,Hi,
In a short term you can create a custom dataset extension to get your ADO
recordset and "bind" it to the report. Accidentally, I have developed one
(http://www.gotdotnet.com/Community/UserSamples/Details.aspx?SampleGuid=B846
8707-56EF-4864-AC51-D83FC3273FE5 ). It allows you get an ADO.NET dataset
from somewhere (e.g. you BLL), pass it to the report as a report parameter
and expose it as a RS dataset. It also suports reporting off persisted as
XML files datasets.
In a long run, the next version of RS will include WinForm and ASP.NET
controls which will work in both connected and disconnected mode. The later
will support binding to ADO.NET datasets.

Hope this helps.

Public Role Permissions

I have a system that before I arrived, they granted all permissions to all
objects to the public role instead of creating there own. While in the
process of trying to fix this we discovered that all users through the publi
c
role have the ability to create objects.
Ultimately what I need to know is how do I revoke or remove permissions to
the public role?Hi,
You will need to create new roles and assign the required permissions the
role. After that assign the approprate roles to users.
Once you are done with that then you could use ROVOKE command remove the
permissions from Public role. The only way to rovoke
Public role rights is to Rove the permissions.
Thanks
